Who is Hal?

Hal and his not-so-better half (me.)
I am a white male...oh, wait. You want to know about Hal, not me. Of course!

Hal is a cat; I believe he may be considered an orange tabby, but I think of him as a redhead. And he has the attitude of one, too - he can be very affectionate (he curls up with me at night), and he can be a tease (he likes to get up on the kitchen counter, despite my VERY vocal opposition - and he always comes out, meows and licks his lips - "see that, guy? Guess where I just came from!")

I got him from PetSmart's in-store adoption program in early 2017; I believe he was about two years old at the time. Since I have no idea when his birthday really is, I have chosen to celebrate his birthday on April Fool's Day - seems like an appropriate choice, knowing him.
"Whatcha doin.?"
And for those of you who may ask about his name, it's actually a contraction for Halligan, which is a forcible entry tool used in the fire service. Those of you who know me are probably not, in the least bit, surprised by this.
A cat's place is...on the keyboard? No, I beg to differ.
